The Campbell Valley Nature House is located at Rowlatt Farmstead in Campbell Valley Regional Park, in a beautiful heritage red barn. It’s open Saturday, Sundays and holiday Mondays, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, from Victoria Day weekend to Labour Day weekend. Visitors drop by to chat with hosts, get information, sign out discovery kits, or check out the interactive exhibits, crafts and games. Guest exhibitors present displays on such topics as bats and Indigenous tools, and bring live owls, frogs, and turtles.
Volunteer Nature House hosts play a vital role in helping visitors discover the rich natural and cultural history of Campbell Valley Regional Park. Share your passion for the plants and animals that make regional parks their home. No experience is necessary, we provide training and you’ll always be paired with a co-host. Time commitment: a minimum of three 3-hour shifts. Our volunteer opportunity will open in late winter/early spring each year.
