Aldergrove Agricultural Fair & Festival

Join us for The Aldergrove Fair & Festival is held in August of each year. The Canada Day Parade is also occurring on July 1 and a Christmas Light Up parade will be hosted in December!

The Aldergrove Festival Days Society (AFDS) is a non-profit organization that brings citizens together with wonderful events such as the Aldergrove Fair Days, the Fair Days Parade, and the Christmas Light Up Parade. They also provide children’s activities, demonstrations and talks, educational exhibits on agricultural activities and products, and more!

Volunteers for the Fair Days are needed to help with:

  • Gate greeting
  • Set up and take down of the fair
  • Ground maintenance and recycling
  • Working at information booth
  • Assistance with stage production
  • Being a runner (helping other volunteers out)

Volunteers are a vital part of organizing and preparing these enjoyable events. More than 150 volunteers are a necessity to assist with the Fair and Parades. Join the volunteer team to contribute to amusing events for the community!


Prize Exhibits: Demonstrate your skill and pride in the categories of eggs, baking and canning, crafts, gardening, youth categories, and building your own mini catapult! Watch for entry submission deadlines.

The Fair

Photography Contest: A total of 10 photographs from 5 categories are chosen to win per age group (youth, teen, and adult)! This contest began in May and will end on before the fair. Judges will be judging each submission on technical execution, content, and entertainment. There is a Judge’s Choice Award for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, as well as a People’s Choice Award.
