
Langley Seniors in Action is a senior led organization of volunteers, including seniors and community organizations supporting seniors. Their purpose is to identify seniors’ issues and opportunities for developing solutions which will provide positive change in the community.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Education & Awareness Committee Chair

- Langley Seniors in Action facilitates seniors’ involvement and leadership in the community.
- They recognize issues and respond to them, as well as share resources and information.
- They build partnerships to create a common place for a collective voice for seniors in the Greater Langley community.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Education & Awareness Committee Chair: Key responsibilities include encouraging LSA members to participate in the committee, and leading the committee to support Education & Awareness, plan, attend, and host community events, and more!
- This role includes creating presentations (10 monthly), presentation planning meetings (10 per year), community events (2-3 per year), community event planning (4-5 per event), Executive meetings, and HUB meetings.

Seniors’ Week
Every year, starting on the first Sunday of the month, they celebrate older adults and their many contributions during Seniors Week. This year B.C. Seniors’ Week runs June 6th to 12th, and the purpose of this activity is caring Seniors and People with disabilities. Join them on Wednesday June 9th from 1pm – 2pm on zoom as they live stream three amazing entertainers. The event is being hosted by Seniors Come Share Society. Seniors Centre Without Walls
This is a telephone-based program where you can socialize, learn new skills, and form new connections on an interactive telephone conference session. Seniors Centre Without Walls is available for all seniors 55+ in Langley! Visit their website for more details.
