The Langley Volunteer Bureau is reaching out to thank all of the volunteers who are keeping themselves safe and healthy while they assist families, friends and neighbours, delivering meals to seniors, people with disabilities and shut ins.
We are grateful to the health and medical professionals who are working tirelessly to treat and tend to all of those in need. And also a special heartfelt thank you to our first responders for their dedication and to their families for their understanding.
The support for each other in our community fills us with pride not only for all of the retail workers but also those who are supporting our business community.
Dialing 2-1-1 is a simple way for people to connect with important health, human, and community services in their community. 2-1-1 is free, confidential and our Call Specialists are available 24 hours a day…7 days a week.
The Langley Seniors Resource Centre is receiving referrals from 2-1-1. and their volunteers are responding to the needs of these callers.
If you know someone who you think would appreciate a friendly voice to check in on them or find out how to have meals delivered or someone to do their shopping, please contact Carrie at the Langley Seniors Resource Centre at 604-530-3020 local 305.
The Langley Volunteer Bureau is partnering with Better World Software in the development of a new Volunteer and Event Management program.
