The Parish of St. Dunstan

The Parish of St. Dunstan is a religious community that offers free community meals on Thursdays for the neighborhood of Aldergrove.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Kitchen support (including head cook)
  • Assistant cooks
  • Food packagers
  • Food distributors
  • Children’s Program

Thursday Community Meal

“No one is turned away”

  • The Thursday Meal is for members of the neighborhood where a hot, home-cooked meal is always ready for everyone who comes
  • Around 45 people are served each week, of which many rely on this meal.
  • Volunteers, hosts, and cooks are always needed. Please connect with them if you would like to help in any way.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Volunteers will have a good sense of community and help meet an important need in our neighborhood by providing a great meal to others
  • Positions include kitchen support (including head cook), assistant cooks, food packagers, and food distributors
  • Children’s Program volunteers must all complete a Criminal Record Check.

Food Banks & Meal Services

Langley Christmas Bureau helps to lift the burden off the shoulders of families struggling to provide a Merry Christmas for their children with donations and support.

Langley Meals on Wheels helps people retain independence in the comfort of their own homes by serving fresh, wholesome meals delivered right to their door in Langley.

The Gateway of Hope strives to help the homeless and those at risk with material assistance and other crucial supports, in order to help them find hope and move forward.
